Bukowski Joins Pacific Plug & Liner

Grower Hank Bukowski, who has been with Kube-Pak in Allentown, N.J., for 20 years, is moving to California this month as he becomes general manager of Pacific Plug & Liner (PP&L) in Watsonville. PP&L is a division of Smith Gardens in Bellingham, Wash. In addition to specializing in innovative young plants, PP&L hosts the Agrexco Group of Israeli breeders and cuttings producers during the California Spring Trials each spring. At Kube-Pak, Bukowski was an industry leader as head grower, active in industry associations, education and supporting university research programs. He was the one who inspired us at Greenhouse Grower to create a new award recognizing head growers, when he was a finalist for Grower of the Year in 2009.

    Hank,
Good luck with your new and exciting endeavor. I made a big change after 20 years with an employer, and it’s difficult to make these types of changes as it is much like leaving family. Good luck and I hope to see you in the future.

    Congratulations, Hank!

Did they tell you about the hazing ritual you need to go through to be allowed to live on the west coast?

Best of luck to you in this endeavor!
