Costa Farms shares its findings in an online publication, which divides the top performers into four categories that align with current housing trends based off a 2015 survey by Better Homes and Gardens, which asked 1,600 women about their preferences on topics such as outdoor living spaces, home exteriors, kitchens and the integration of smart technology and design in the home.

. The survey found that women, especially older Millenials, place importance on:

  • Outdoor living spaces
  • Personalized spaces
  • Low-maintenance plantings
  • Being environmentally friendly

Costa Farms is a third generation, family owned business business that stretches from South Florida to South Carolina to the Dominican Republic, employing 2,800 people. It supplies garden plants and house plants for retailers across North America.
