“I have been looking for the right opportunity to elevate Ecke Ranch to a new level of excellence,” Paul Ecke III says. “Our combined companies will enhance the strong brand name, high standards for quality, reliability, and excellence in poinsettia as well as geranium breeding. Our customers are changing rapidly. As a primary breeder and supplier our role is ever-expanding. We need a strong partner to support our continuing innovation and provide our customers more options. Agribio Group is the ideal fit to partner with as we look to the future.”

Ecke will maintain its brand name after the acquisition and management and breeders will remain with the company.

“I am pleased that the acquisition of Ecke Ranch enables us to service our customers even better, with a broader assortment and more innovation power,” says Harry Kloppenburg, CEO Agribio Group. “We are proud to be able to continue with the brand name Ecke. Together with our brand Fides Oro, Ecke will give a strong impulse to sustainable growth and innovation. Therefore, I expect a lot from this new combination and the new opportunities which this offers to our customers worldwide. For our European customers it means they can now rely on a year-round product offering.”
