New Geum Cultivar Produces Five Times The Flowers
Geum ‘Totally Tangerine’ is a new geum cultivar that is sterile and blooms continuously from early summer through the heat into fall.
Flower production is up to five times that of the normal genus. It produces hundreds of bright, tangerine and orange single flowers over the course of the growing season. The deep green, fuzzy foliage forms a compact mound which measures about 14 inches tall. In full bloom, the plants grow approximately 30 inches tall.
G. ‘Totally Tangerine’ makes a great addition to perennial borders, is well suited for commercial landscape plantings and makes a great cut flower. It attracts butterflies and is resistant to deer and rabbit feeding.
This cultivar was also named a Plant of Distinction, 2011 at the UGA Trial Gardens and is a bronze medal winner at the HTA Plant Show in the UK.
