Salvia nemerosa 'Ave Maria'

Salvia nemerosa ‘Ave Maria’ features purple stems with deep pink flowers, followed by purple seed heads. In May, plants bloom with pink spikes on purple stems and in late summer and fall, plants can re-bloom. These clumping plants reach 18 to 24 inches tall and wide.

‘Ave Maria’ prefers a well-drained soil in full sun, is hardy to Zones 3 to 9 and can be planted in spring, summer or fall. It combines nicely with other salvias like ‘Caradonna’ and short ornamental grasses.

Plants are available for sale and licensing from Intrinsic Perennial Gardens.
