PDSI Adds Carolina Nurseries To Grower List

Carolina Nurseries has joined the ranks of Plant Development Services Inc. (PDSI), which grows Encore Azalea and the Southern Living Plant Collection.
“We’ve always recognized Carolina Nurseries as an outstanding grower, with great quality and innovative plant genetics,” says Kip McConnell, PDSI director. “They’re a natural fit for our Encore Azalea and Southern Living Brands.”
Carolina Nurseries owners J. and Linda Guy also head up the Novalis plant program, which is a nationwide effort. The venture with PDSI means more plant variety selections from Carolina for the Southern Living Plant Collection.
“With Novalis, we are a nationwide distribution center, so to speak, but only 40 percent of our growers are in the Deep South,” Linda Guy says. “We have some wonderful Southern plants that really need to be brought to gardeners throughout the region.”
