“Since starting the lab, we have turned Rancho Tissue Technologies into a state-of-the-art, environmentally controlled laboratory that is equipped to produce and sell 4 million plants per year internationally,” May says. “Placing Susana in her new role enables me to focus on the company’s continued growth and evolution.”

Vanzie-Canton, who joined RTT in 2007 as a researcher, will oversee day-to-day activities at the company and oversee the growth of RTT’s line of tissue-cultured products. Those products include succulent plants, cut flowers, perennials, tropicals and ornamental grasses, among others.

I was fortunate enough to have Susana work with me in my nursery in Belize for four months in 2003. The level of commitment and hard work that Susana introduces into the work place is exemplary of her professionalism. The positive impact Susana had on my work force was tremendous, for this I am very grateful.

Congratulations Susana and good luck in your new role!
