Sakata Announces Ornamentals Staffing Changes

Sakata has announced three staff changes in its North American ornamentals business.

Mark Seguin, previously Sakata’s Vegetative Product Manager for North America has assumed the role of Global Ornamental Marketing Manager for the vegetative portfolio. Seguin will provide global and regional strategic leadership in product development and supply chain and is responsible for vegetative marketing plans within the US market.
 
Also effective April 1st, Ron Cramer, who as Global Marketing Manager led the development of Sakata’s vegetative ornamentals business in both Europe and Nafta, will assume the role of Senior Global Ornamentals Advisor.

Ron Garofalo joined the Sales & Marketing team in the position of Senior Sales Manager; Flower Seeds—NATFA, effective April 18th. Garofalo will direct and lead all sales and product management activities for the flower seed assortment—pot, bedding and cut flowers.  Before joining Sakata, Garofalo served for fourteen years as Vice-President of Sales at Goldsmith Seeds. After Goldsmith was acquired by Syngenta, he continued in the role of Head of Sales for NATFA.
 
Sakata also announces the addition of Brad Smith in the position of Retail Category Manager; Ornamentals – NATFA, effective May 7th. Smith will lead ornamentals sales and marketing activities directed toward the retail channel and will work closely with growers serving that channel. Brad has fifteen years of experience in sales with twelve of those years focused on retail account management.
