Sakata Showcasing Primulas Next Month

Growers, distributors and garden center retailers are invited to attend Sakata Ornamental’s cool crop open house and primula workshop next month in Salinas, Calif. The event will run Jan. 26-28, with a grower workshop focused on primula production January 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Attendees will have the opportunity to view Sakata’s selection of primula series, including Danova, Daniella, Delight, Rosanna and Super Nova, as well as Primula malicoides Prima. An assortment of Sakata’s popular cool-season crops, including Wonderland poppies, Bloomingdale ranunculus and Harmony anemone will also be on display, in addition to Majestic Giants II pansies and other high-impact companion crops.

The grower workshop on January 27 will focus on production considerations and challenges. It will also offer retail marketing tips.
