Phlox ‘Astoria Pink’ by Suntory ‘Pink’ is the latest addition to the 11-color Astoria series, offering bright pink rounded blooms on a compact, rounded plant. Its mounding habit is similar to other Astoria varieties, reaching an average of 14 inches high and 24 inches across.

Early Start phlox by Pacific Plug & Liner These are brand-new interspecific hybrids bred in Holland and offered as liners from Pacific Plug and Liner. Early Start phlox are most notable for their ability to flower four to six weeks earlier than traditional paniculata-type phlox, and they will bring color to the landscape just at the break of spring.

Phlox ‘Intensia Blueberry’ by Proven Winners ‘Blueberry’ offers rich blue-purple blooms and the same heat tolerance and summer performance as other Intensia varieties. Larger leaf size and a more upright habit make for an easy plant to produce in early season.

Phlox ‘PowerPhlox Purple’ by Westhoff The Power series is bred specially for pot production. It has an upright habit and well-branched growth. The series is extremely weather tolerant and can be cultivated in low temperatures.

‘Jubilee’ phormium by Plant Haven This phormium has striking cherry red foliage margins on its fresh green foliage. It grows best in USDA Zone 8.

Poinsettia ‘Mira Red’ by Syngenta Flowers This Goldfisch introduction is an early-season red with 7.5-week flower response. It matches well in vigor and timing to ‘Mira White’ and is a good variety for cold growing in October and November.

Poinsettia ‘Ruby Frost’ by Syngenta Flowers ‘Ruby Frost’ is a new early-season novelty Goldfisch poinsettia variety for 2010. It offers eye-catching color with unique tones of rose to pink.

Portulaca Supreme by GroLink Nine colors are available in this new GroLink series. Flowers are large and plants grow about 4 inches in gallon containers.

Ptilotus ‘Down Under’ by Euro American Large ivory panicles top this architectural plant that grows to 12 to 18 inches. This new ptilotus is an Ecovation plant that prefers to be grown in larger containers and in the landscape. ‘Down Under’ performs well in Zones 9-11.

Ranunculus Maché Bicolor Mix and White by Syngenta Flowers Maché is a profitable cool-season crop with minimal input costs. Machine-friendly pelleted seed leads to strong, uniform seedlings. Plants are very Bonzi and B-Nine receptive and create large, eye-catching blooms.

Rhodanthemum ‘Moondance’ by Euro American ‘Moondance’ is designed to fit into an early-season program. Numerous light-pink flowers emerge over compact, gray-green foliage fading to white over the season.

Rhododendron ‘Bollywood’ by Proven Winners ‘Bollywood’ is a showy plant with vivid, glossy silver and dark-green variegated evergreen foliage all season. It has bright neon red-pink flowers in spring. Plants are 1.5 to 2 feet tall and wide and like full sun to part shade.

‘Boogie Woogie’ Rose by Greenheart Farms ‘Boogie Woogie’ reaches 16 inches in height and width. It has a well-rounded, compact habit, is mildly fragrant and features bright reddish orange blooms with yellow on the underside.

‘Classic Cinnabar’ Rose by Greenheart Farms ‘Classic Cinnabar’ reaches 36 inches tall and wide, has an upright growth habit, is mildly fragrant and features deep red blooms. Forty to 45 petals will appear and stretch 3.5 inches in diameter when fully open.

‘Come Hither’ Rose by Greenheart Farms ‘Come Hither’ grows 18 by 18 inches, has a nice bushy habit and clear pink blooms. Thirty-five to 40 petals will appear and stretch 2.5 inches in diameter when fully open.

Rosa ‘Marshmallow Fluff’ by EuroAmerican ‘Marshmallow Fluff’ features clusters of petite, white flowers. These highly fragrant, long-lasting flowers can tolerate light shade, poor soil and low-water conditions.

Rosa ‘The Imposter’ by Euro American This heat-lover earned its name with its striking resemblance to clematis. Peachy pink petals are speckled with bright pink and are a nice addition to Western landscapes.
