Featured in the new Sunset Western Garden Collection, ‘Amistad’ is a free-flowering hybrid with vibrant deep purple tubular flowers paired with a glossy black calyx. Amistad flowers freely from spring until frost and can be cut back to encourage repeated bloom. This variety should be grown in full sun to partial shade in a well-drained media. ‘Amistad’ can also makes a great centerpiece in mixed containers, and will overwinter in mild climates as a perennial.
Dianthus ‘Cosmic Pink Swirl’ and ‘Red Swirl’
The Cosmic series of dianthus includes striped, heirloom-style flowered carnations. With large double blooms, Cosmic dianthus have bold, peppermint-colored flowers. These fragrant perennials bloom from February to April, are fit from USDA Zones 6 to 9 and do not require pinching or growth control.
Helleborus ‘Penny’s Pink’
Break the traditional hellebore mold with helleborus ‘Penny’s Pink.’ Bred in the Netherlands, this variety’s beautiful pink flowers sport a unique dome shape, opening as the flower matures. Flowering also occurs in the first year of production.
