Suntory Flowers hit the road President’s Day weekend to promote Senetti pericallis across California, where Armstrong Garden Centers and EuroAmerican Propagators pitched in for a special Put On A Senetti Smile contest.

Six-inch Senetti pots were given away to thousands of people, who can now submit photos of them smiling with their Senetti. The photos will be posted in a contest album on Facebook where fans can vote for the photo they like best by “liking” it. Armstrong Garden Center gift cards will be awarded to winners.

Suntory hit the road for the event in its typical truck parade fashion, sending a convoy of about 20 Senetti semis to retail locations throughout the state. The semis left Armstrong Garden Center in Capistrano and were escorted by four patrol cars to Interstate 5. A number of people gathered to celebrate the sendoff, which featured the Capistrano Valley High School Black and Gold Brigade, a marching band that helped boost some energy.

Last year, Suntory was part of a similar event to kick off spring at Costa Farms, where 30 Sun Parasol semis hit the road for a special “grower day” for the public.
