Planting dates: All trial annuals were planted the week of May 28 and the week of June 4.

Number of entries: 487

Weather conditions: The 2012 growing season, (frost-free) was 155 days, (average is 144) with the last spring frost on April 20 and a fall frost on September 23. Rainfall between May 1 and September 26 was 12.63 inches, 3.27 inches below normal. May, June and July had above-normal temperatures, with August being below normal. May through August had 10 days of 90°F or higher temperatures.
