Verbena ‘Temari Candy Stripe’

Verbena ‘Veralena Rose Heart’ (Danziger)
‘Rose Heart’ puts on a continuous parade of blooms from early spring through summer. Pink flowers, accented with dark-pink centers, contrast nicely against a background of lacy, green foliage. With its compactness and mounding habit, ‘Rose Heart’ is ideal for window boxes and combination planters. Powdery mildew tolerance is excellent. Also new to the Veralena series this year is ‘Pure Lavender,’ which in addition to being a great filler for pots and combos, makes an excellent groundcover.

Verbena ‘Eye Candy Purplicious’ (Hort Couture)
The electrifying designer colors of Hort Couture’s new Eye Candy series blend beautifully with petunias, nemesia and other basket selections. This series features trailing varieties with tight flower clusters filled with large florets. Deep white eyes really set Eye Candy verbenas apart from other plants in arrangements. Powdery mildew tolerance compares favorably with other series on the market. In addition to ‘Purplicious,’ get ready for ‘Divine Wine, ‘Perky Pink’ and ‘Very Cherry.’

Verbena ‘Superbena Royale Plum Wine’ (Proven Winners)
Deep, reddish-purple blooms grace ‘Plum Wine,’ one of two new color introductions to the Superbena Royale series, along with ‘Whitecap.’ Flowers have the strong disease resistance and vigor that growers depend on from the Royale series. Another distinctive color addition to the Superbena series is ‘Violet Ice.’ This variety boasts large flowers, is heat tolerant and attracts butterflies.

Verbena ‘Temari Candy Stripe’ (Suntory)
Suntory Flowers introduces a striking novelty verbena, ‘Candy Stripe,’ the first bicolored variety to join the Temari series and meet its high performance standards. Growers will appreciate its bushy, trailing habit and compact blooms. Plants show good powdery mildew resistance and excellent heat and cold tolerance. They are perfect for all types of containers, hanging baskets and window boxes.

Verbena Lindalena Series (Fides Oro)
A brand-new series with six colors, Lindalena cultivars are day-neutral, early to flower, heat-tolerant and mildew-resistant. They flower prolifically on mounded, uniform plants. The series is well-matched in timing and habit.
