Libertia 'Taupo Blaze'
A superior selection, of ‘Taupo Sunset’ a bright & colorful Libertia ixioides seedling originally selected for it fantastic winter foliage color. In autumn the spiky sword-like foliage of ‘Taupo Blaze’ changes from green through yellow/orange to strong orange with burnt red highlights. This selection has very pronounced scarlet autumn foliage color. To complement the colorful foliage, clusters of pure white star-like flowers are produced in spring, followed by attractive orange/red berries in autumn. This colorful little plant really packs a punch & is ideal to provide year round interest in the perennial border or as a colorful low maintenance pot or container plant on the deck or patio. Hardy. Production time: 8-12 weeks from tissue culture to 2” liner. 16-24 weeks from tissue culture to finished 8” pot.
