Fraxinus pennsylvanica (Green Ash)
Hardy native widely recommended for street and lawn plantings as a replacement for American elm. Native to moist sites, it is extremely adaptable and tolerates alkalinity, salt, drought, wind, and poor soils. Seeds are an excellent food source for wildlife. Rarely to never fed on by Japanese beetles.
