Fraxinus nigra 'Fallgold' (Black Ash)
This hardy, seedless COPF selection from 1975 was selected from seedlings of a native stand of black ash near Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. Adaptable to a wide range of soil conditions, it has an upright form, and golden-yellow fall color retained well into autumn.
