Metasequoia glyptostroboides (Dawn Redwood)
This beautiful deciduous conifer has a pyramidal to conical habit, and fine feathery texture. Once thought to be extinct, it was rediscovered in China in the 1940's, and then introduced to the world through seeds collected on an Arnold Arboretum expedition.
