Oxydendrum arboreum (Sorrel Tree)
Conical-shaped tree with reddish-grey bark. Grown mostly for its fall color, leaves turn brilliant shades of red, yellow and purple. Small white flowers in summer on long panicles, up to 10 inches long, very showy and a welcome surprise.
