Unique foliage is the highlight of this sport of 'Matrona'. Blue-green foliage emerges in spring changing to shades of purple in summer, then back to blue-green for autumn. Stems are a vivid purple color. Large red flower heads appearing in late summer open to pink blooms. Attracts hummingbirds and butterflies to the garden in late summer. Introduced by Walters Garden and now part of the Proven Winners perennial program.
