Origanum 'Herrenhausen' (Marjoram, Oregano)
This ornamental oregano is a great perennial with an upright trailing habit. Through summer, the stems grow to about 2' in length and as the red-purple flower clusters appear they tend to spread out through the garden. The foliage has that classic oregano scent, but this is truly an ornamental variety. Great as a filler/accent plant, around strong upright forms and attracts butterflies.
