Beautiful, rich violet flower spikes rise above the grass-like, evergreen foliage making a nice summer accent. A superb ground cover, edging or border plant. In northern areas the foliage may become pale green-brown during the winter. Best to cut back foliage in late winter before new growth begins to emerge. Deer don't seem to find this plant appealing.
