Dryopteris 'Brilliance' (Wood Fern, Autumn Fern, Buckler Fern)
Rapidly becoming one of the most popular garden ferns. Its common name refers to the lustrous orange color of the newly emerging fronds. The sori, which are produced in fall, are bright red. This fern is particularly nice when grown in woodland or Japanese gardens. Best leaf color is achieved in part sun. Often used as a foliar accent in container designs.
