This is an excellent large viburnum that lends itself well to mass plantings, hedges and screens. Beautiful inflorescences composed of both sterile and fertile flowers appear in June and are followed by showy red fruit from August into winter - wonderful food for the birds! The fall color can vary from shades of yellow-red to red-purple. Tolerant of many soil types, most specifically moist areas, European Cranberrybush will perform best in full sun to light shade.
