Rhododendron (Pinxterbloom Azalea) (Azalea, Reblooming Azalea)
This species of Azalea is an excellent plant for naturalizing and is quite adaptable to dry, sandy, rocky soils. It blooms in early spring, and because it is produced from seed, the flower color will vary from white to pale pink to deep violet. The average size is 4-6’, although it has been observed as quite dwarf (only 2’) to large (up to 10’).
