Cotinus 'Common Smokebush'
An upright, spreading shrub that is rather loose and open in habit. Valued for the large, frothy, smoky-silver to pink panicles that decorate the plant from late June into September. In zone 4 and 5 it is usually grown as a dieback shrub. Sunny, well- drained, dry sites.
