A lovely shrub or small tree with a vase-shaped habit. The extraordinary blooms are dark coppery-red and flower in mid to late winter when no other bloom can be found. In autumn the foliage turns to bright yellow and scarlet. 'Diane' prefers full sun but will tolerate semi-shaded areas and will grow in any reasonable garden soil.
