Steve Castorani Of North Creek Nurseries Receives The Perennial Plant Association’s 2015 Grower Award

The Perennial Plant Association (PPA) awarded seven recipients with the 2015 PPA Special Awards for outstanding leadership in the perennial industry on July 28, 2015 at the Perennial Plant Symposium and Trade Show in Baltimore, Md. Among the recipients was Steve Castorani, owner of North Creek Nursery, who received PPA’s 2015 Grower award.

North Creek Nurseries, located in Landenberg and Oxford, Pa., specializes in supplying sustainably grown plants to the nursery industry and landscape plugs to LEED-certified engineers and landscapers for ecological installations. The company has an extensive listing of perennials, grasses and ferns that include a number of native plant offerings. Castorani started the company in 1988 with partner Dale Hendricks. Over the years, he has made significant contributions to the industry in the areas of plant propagation and production and is one of the creators behind the American Beauties native plant brand.
