Terra Nova Nurseries’ Heuchera Varieties Featured In The Rainbow Wall At Tokyo Train Station

Terra Nova Nurseries’ heuchera varieties are on display as a central feature of the Rainbow Wall at the JR Tokyo Train Station in Tokyo, Japan. At 100-meters long, the wall features all Terra Nova Nurseries-bred varieties, including the lime-green, ruffled foliage of heuchera ‘Lime Rickey;’ shiny, plum-purple heuchera ‘Plum Pudding;’ silver-veiled, green-leafed heuchera ‘Lipstick;’ golden-hued heuchera ‘Caramel’ and glowing, wine-red heuchera ‘Fire Chief.’ The wall was completed on in November 2013, through a partnership with GP Plants and Jardin.

The JR Tokyo Train Station has approximately 426,000 people travel through it every day. It is located on the second-story outdoor walkway. Seibu Zouen with Seibu Landscaping assisted in the design and construction of the heuchera wall. Excel Soil’s Minoru Sangyo developed the green wall system to hold the heuchera wall, in addition to providing the special Excel soil for the display.
