Botany Lane Greenhouse Hosting New Variety Open House in March

Botany LaneColorado-based Botany Lane Greenhouse, which grows specialty annuals, perennials, succulents and tropicals, finished and young plants, in 827,640 square feet of environmentally controlled production space, invites growers, retailers, wholesalers, and customers to an open house at the Denver Botanic Gardens on Thursday, March 21, to celebrate the first day of spring and preview new introductions from Proven Winners.

During the event, Meagan Owens from Proven Winners and Andy Huntington from Pleasant View Gardens will unveil new varieties for 2019 and discuss promotional opportunities and information available to retailers. “Proven Winners is very excited to be furthering our partnership with Botany Lane by taking part in this great event,” Owens says. “We can’t wait to talk about some great new varieties and must-haves for the 2019 season. We also look forward to sharing the many different ways Botany Lane customers can put Proven Winners marketing to work in their garden centers.”

Botany Lane Greenhouse will showcase its mile-high succulents, including new varieties available to independent garden centers in 2019. It will also be debuting its new line of patio container combos and hanging basket combos for 2019.

“We are excited to show some of the recent European trends in succulent gardens, as well as a new line of cactus,” says Scott Fulton, General Manager of Botany Lane Greenhouse. ‘We will also be featuring the newest varieties of Hollywood Hibiscus and Diamantina Dipladenia and Mandevillia hybrids from Ball Ingenuity.”

As a perk, all attendees will receive admission to the 24-acre Denver Botanic Gardens for the entire day, before and after the presentations. Botany Lane encourages everyone to enjoy the ornamental, internationally-inspired, and western-themed gardens and plant collections, as well as the Orangery, a glasshouse packed with tropicals and potted citrus.
