Rhododendron ‘Florence Parks’ is a heavy flowering, hardy plant that has dark green foliage that forms a broad, star-like whorl, providing a nice backdrop against the abundant deep purple flowers. Hardy to USDA Zone 4, this mid-season bloomer will reach 5 to 6 feet. ‘Florence Parks’ can be grown in full sun to light shade, and will look great in beds and borders, as a specimen or in groups of three to five plants.

The other new introduction is rhododendron ‘Rabatz.’ Its nice green foliage and deep red buds open into fiery red trusses of nine to 11 flowers. The lobed flowers have short stamens and ruffled petals with an open, almost flat appearance that makes for a showy floral display and rich color presentation.

‘Rabatz’ is a mid-to-late season compact hybrid that grows to 3 feet x 3 feet. It will look great in beds and borders, as a specimen or in groups of three to five plants plants. ‘Rabatz’ enjoys full sun to light shade and is hardy to USDA Zone 6.
