Danziger Varieties Earn Top Honors Overseas

Petunia ‘Amore Queen of Hearts’ (Danziger)

Two Danziger varieties were recently given top honors at the FlowersExpo in Russia in September. The company took home gold medals in the Novelty of the Year competition, held during the exhibition in Moscow.

The first award was given for the breeding of Petunia ‘Amore Queen of Hearts,’ the best-selling variety in the Amore series. Every Amore petunia features five hearts on each bloom. The variety has a stable heart shape pattern, early flowering ability, and a mounded habit.

The second award was given for the breeding of Gypsophila ‘Inzignia Cloud.’ This new variety features small cushion-like flowers that are voluminous and appealing. ‘Inzignia Cloud’ offers a long vase life, high yield, and heavy, strong stems. It was introduced to the market through an exclusive and creative collaboration between Danziger and leading Gypsophila growers from Ecuador.
