Danziger used color block and vertical display methods to draw attention to its numerous new introductions. By repeating the same plant not only in rows horizontally, but also down all shelves of the graduated display unit, it created an eye-catching, modern presentation.

Benary's Display Rooms
Benary created a series of display rooms so it could create distinctly different looks and moods for each of its plant lines. Garden retail customers can build a similar series of distinct, idea-packed themes to entice new customers during festivals that attract a broad audience.

Golden State Bulb Growers emphasizes its American-based breeding program in this promotional poster. It's a smart move since consumers' desire for locally-grown produce is beginning to create a demand for locally-grown flowers.

Benary's Cocktail Recipe
Garden retailers have found that combining alcohol with garden store events is a great way to attract large crowds. In its Big Begonia display area, Benary had stacks of recipe cards for a frothy cocktail — and a stylish cooler filled with the libation — that tied in with the begonia line.

Season-Extending Displays
Golden State Bulbs had several ideas to help growers extend their selling season for callas beyond spring. It had strong summer, fall and Christmas displays. Callas might have special resonance as a fall plant, with Halloween, Thanksgiving and the Day Of The Dead. That last holiday has special significance for the growing Latin American demographic, since callas are associated with honoring loved ones who have passed away.

Pacific Plug & Liner's Greek Basil Tree Packaging
Pacific Plug & Liner's Greek Basil Tree has new packaging, designed by Master Tag. This modified plant sleeve is lighter than the first version, which was a printed cardboard box, and comes with several consumer-friendly features, including a handle, making it easy to pick up and place in a basket.

As more and more Americans downsize their living spaces, creating a buffer between too close neighbors is a must. This concept allows consumers to have instant color that can be updated by simply switching out pots.
