Anthony Tesselaar International is rolling out new packaging concepts for Flower Carpet roses and Volcano phlox this spring.
The company has redesigned and streamlined it spatented Maxi Pro Clip plstic stakes that clip to the lip of Flower Carpet rose pots and other sto hold fertilizer sachets and labels. The colorful booklet-style labels also have been reworked.
The Volcano series of mildew-resistant phlox will be marketed with a full-color illustrated pot. In addition to the brand logo, pots will have plant and care information and replace the need for a label. While the new pots will debut this spring, many growers will be working through carry-over inventory of pots before purchasing the new ones.
The Flower Carpet roses were groundbreaking in 1995 in signature pink pots. The clip-on stakes were another marketing milestone.
