Dömmen

‘Marco Polo’ rounds out the poinsettia assortment in the apricot color range. An 8-week variety with medium vigor, RED FOX ‘Marco Polo’ can be produced alongside red cultivars like ‘Euroglory,’ ‘Infinity’ and ‘Viking.’

Dömmen

‘Viking’ is absolutely cold resistant and very robust with a vigorous growing habit. The thick stem and the resistance against botrytis make this cultivar super strong.

Dömmen

New in the RED FOX assortment are two euphorbias, ‘Silver Fog’ and ‘Silver Shadow,’ which differ in habit and leaf shape. ‘Silver Fog’ is more compact with short round leaves, and ‘Silver Shadow’ is slightly more vigorous with a longer shaped leaf.

Dömmen

Dömmen introduces ‘Infinity Marble,’ an addition to the 2007 Infinity series that exhibits medium/large vigor, good branching habit, and an excellent V-shaped growing habit.

Dömmen

‘Flame’ offers “red hot” color, superb branching habit, and V-shape growth, making this new novelty trendy and “smokin’ hot.”

Selecta First Class

‘Christmas Angel Dark Pink’ and ‘Christmas Angel Marble’ are additions to Selecta’s 2007 introduction, ‘Christmas Angel.’ Early season varieties with a response time of 8 weeks, Dark Pink and Marble have a medium to high vigor, upright growth habit and excellent branching. The Christmas Angel series is energy- and space-efficient, very uniform and easy to grow.

Selecta First Class

‘Christmas Eve’ combines an early finish with energy- and space-efficiency. It is an early season variety with a V-shaped, easy-to-control growth habit and thick, sturdy stems. It has excellent branching, a strong flood-floor proven root system and good post harvest characteristics.

Selecta First Class

‘Christmas Feelings Select’ is a late season introduction that finishes in early December (9.5 weeks response time). With more brilliant color compared to the original, it can be started and grown the same way as all other varieties in the series, but will finish 10 days later.

Syngenta Flowers

‘Carousel Dark Red’ isn’t your everyday poinsettia, with its uniquely curled, dark red bracts that give the appearance of motion, like a carousel. Blooming two weeks earlier than the original ‘Carousel Red,’ this is a must have for the poinsettia season.

Poinsettia Survey Shows Strong Sales For Greenhouse Gro…

The year 2015 might have been one that many were glad to see in the rear view mirror, but for poinsettia growers, it was a good sales year — perhaps the strongest in quite a while. Compared to 2014, which was also widely deemed a success among growers for its seasonal cold at just the right time, good weather for shipping, and a good holiday spirit, the 2015 season was solid for a number of reasons. The weather, a rebounding economy, and increased demand all contributed to what growers said was a “very strong” sales season. “It was a strong year beginning to end due to great weather and quality product as the market demanded,” said Dan Chaney of Ivy Acres, in Greenhouse Grower’s 2015 Poinsettia Survey.     “Sales were strong. Demand was better than the previous two years,” said Larry Windham of Windham Greenhouses Inc. “Very good. The […]
