‘The Holy Grail’ Silphiums

Intrinsic Perennial Gardens Inc. has introduced Silphium perfolatum ‘The Holy Grail.’ This golden cup plant grows to 6 feet tall and a few feet wide. The foliage emerges chartreuse and brightens in summer followed by yellow flowers in July or August. ‘The Holy Grail’ prefers full sun with rich, moist to average soil. The cup plant attracts birds to drink the water collected at the base of the leaves along the stem and feeding them once they go to seed.
