August 23, 2020 One of the questions we asked in Greenhouse Grower’s 2020 State of the Industry survey was about the top concerns you have as a grower regarding your business.
Overall, the top ten most-cited concerns were:
- The economy
- Recovery from COVID-19/coronavirus
- Labor costs
- Production costs (energy, equipment, etc.)
- Availability of skilled labor
- Government regulations
- Weather
- Insect and disease pressure
- Price pressure from retailers
- Succession planning
When the responses are broken down by region, the top three answers vary in importance.
Northeast (CT, ME, MA, NH, RI, VT, DE, MD, NJ, NY, PA)
