Greenhouse Grower Survey Highlights Major Floriculture Business and Production Issues
December 8, 2025 Greenhouse Grower’s 2025 State of the Industry survey included a focus on key business and production challenges faced by growers across the floriculture industry. The results highlight that growers often deal with many of the same concerns regardless of their size.
On the question “What are the top concerns you have regarding your business?” the chart below highlights the most popular answers.
Economic concerns topped the list of grower business challenges, while succession planning rose from past years as a key issue. Others not listed include consumer interest in plants, insect and disease pressure, and tariffs.
On the question “What are the top crop production challenges you face at your business?”, here were the most common responses.
Labor and weather are typically top production concerns, and 2025 was no different. Meanwhile, production planning and space management also weigh heavily on growers’ minds.
