Buddleia Chrysalis Series (Darwin Perennials)
The compact Chrysalis series was bred and selected for its profusion of flowers that attract butterflies. Gardeners will enjoy continuous blooming from spring through late summer. Plants are root hardy to Zone 5 and stem hardy in warmer locations. The series is available in five colors for its 2022 debut.
Delphinium Delgenius Series (Pacific Plug & Liner)
Delgenius is a new series with three colors from hellebore and echibeckia breeder, Bart Noordhuis. This Delphinium takes a crop that has traditionally given growers a hard time with many problems and makes it easy. No more small plants. Delgenius fills large pots with only one liner and produces a multi-branching habit in a short amount of time. No more single blooms. Delgenius has multiple semi-double blooms and will rebloom if cut back. There is no need to use plant growth regulators either, as they are genetically compact. USDA Hardiness Zone: 3-9
Delphinium ‘Delgenius Breezin' (Pacific Plug & Liner)
Breezin’ has highly ruffled purple flowers, with white edging with a green bee. This variety is the earliest to bloom in the Delgenius series.
Delphinium ‘Delgenius Glitzy’ (Pacific Plug & Liner)
Glitzy is the newest member of the Delgenius family, with deep-blue flowers and a white bee. Glitzy is a 2022 introduction.
Melissa officinalis ‘Limoncello’ (Hem Genetics)
In herbs for 2022, Hem Genetics adds ‘Limoncello,’ a lemon-scented sister variety, to the existing orange-scented ‘Mandarina.’ A hardy perennial from Zone 4a through 9b, it has a mounded, spreading habit and provides a lovely citrus scent when brushed while walking by. ‘Limoncello’ is easy to grow and can also be used in combination pots for the patio.
Rosa ‘It's a Breeze White' (Southern Living and Sunset Western Plant Collections)
A new introduction from the House of Meilland, 'It’s a Breeze Rose’ (in Red and now White), is an attractive groundcover rose with excellent disease resistance. Reblooming well into the fall, this is a more vigorous variety that is winter hardy to Zone 4 and heat tolerant.
Salvia nemorosa ‘Dark Matter’ (ThinkPlants/Danziger)
Salvia ‘Dark Matter’ boasts a bold new color for Salvia nemorosa, with impressive large flowers. This salvia branches well, will rebloom, and is first-year flowering. It's a real stand-out for its impressive flower display.
Sedum ‘Conga Line’ (ThinkPlants/Terra Nova Nurseries)
This new Conga Line is a high impulse plant in multiple seasons. The foliage is upright with tight internodes and a unique look for a sedum in spring. Compact and well-branched, this sedum will also show contrasting peach/coral flowers in late summer and fall.
