This past December, Pantone announced its 2021 Colors of the Year: Pantone 17-5104 Ultimate Gray and Pantone 13-0647 Illuminating. According to Pantone, the two independent colors “highlight how different elements come together to support one another. Practical and rock solid but at the same time warming and optimistic, the union of PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray + PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating is one of strength and positivity. It is a story of color that encapsulates deeper feelings of thoughtfulness with the promise of something sunny and friendly.”
The floral industry is one of many that thrives based on color trends, which is why Greenhouse Grower reached out to growers and breeders and asked them to highlight some of their variety offerings that reflect these two colors. Last week, we presented 26 of these eye-catching plants. Check out the slideshow above for a closer look at more of them. There’s more to come next week!
