The Pantone Color Institute, creator of the Pantone Color of the Year educational program with the aim to engage the design community and color enthusiasts around the world, has announced its Pantone Color of the Year 2026: PANTONE 11-4201 Cloud Dancer.

According to the Institute, “The color we select to be the Pantone Color of the Year is the one we see building in importance across all areas of design. It is the color that has the ability to communicate the color message that best reflects what is happening in our global culture at a specific moment in time; the color we see crossing all areas of design, serving as an expression of a mood and an attitude; the color that reflects what people are looking for, and what qualities they feel they need that color can hope to answer.”

PANTONE 11-4201 Cloud Dancer is described as “A lofty white that serves as a symbol of calming influence in a society rediscovering the value of quiet reflection,” and “A billowy white imbued with serenity.”

“At this time of transformation, when we are reimagining our future and our place in the world, PANTONE 11-4201 Cloud Dancer is a discrete white hue offering a promise of clarity,” says Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute. “The cacophony that surrounds us has become overwhelming, making it harder to hear the voice of our inner selves. A conscious statement of simplification, Cloud Danger enhances our focus, providing release from the distraction of external influences.”
