According to Schoneveld Breeding, “Climate change is increasing global temperatures,” and in doing so, directly impacts the cultivation of pot plants. To combat the effects of high summer heat on plants, many plant breeders are focusing on creating resilient varieties that are better at combating and withstanding heat and drought. In the case of Schoneveld, one standout in this area is the breeder’s heat- and stress-tolerant Cyclamen persicum. In the following videos, Manager Kathy McKay and South Europe Area Manager Gianfranco de Leo show off Schoneveld’s heat-resistant cyclamen varieties and discuss how they perform in warm climates.
