According to N.G. Heimos Greenhouses President Bernie Heimos, the company decided to enter the hemp market because “we always want to try and work with the relevant crops of today, and there is no crop more relevant than hemp.”
Heimos says N.G. Heimos Greenhouses is currently under expansion to accommodate hemp, and it should not affect the company’s current customers in any way.
“Hemp is a legal commodity, and we are fully licensed to produce hemp,” Heimos says. “As long as it does not affect our ability to serve our customers, it will be treated like our young plant division.”
When it comes to any changes that may have to be made inside the greenhouse to accommodate hemp production, Heimos notes that “we are weighing our options at this time.”
