In the Netherlands, organizers of NGG have launched an intensive educational program, which has allowed hundreds of Dutch growers and consultants to become educated and trained to expand their knowledge of physics and plant physiology. By applying the principles of NGG, they improve their results and minimize energy costs at the same time.
Hoogendoorn has been involved in NGG research since 2006, and the company recently published a whitepaper that provides background and applications of Next Generation Growing methods. The whitepaper, titled “Plant Empowerment: Optimizing Growth Climate by Steering the Plant’s Balances,” covers the balance between energy and water within the plant, as well as five control factors that can have a major influence on these balances.
