The USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has amended its regulations to allow the importation of orchid plants of the genus Dendrobium spp. in growing media from Taiwan into the U.S.

Water-borne bacteria was causing havoc with Westerlay Orchids’ production, so the company took preventative action to ensure the health of its plants.
