Laura Drotleff Named Editor Of Greenhouse Grower

Laura Drotleff

Laura Drotleff, Editor, Greenhouse Grower

Meister Media Worldwide is pleased to announce the promotion of Laura Drotleff to the position of Editor, Greenhouse Grower.

Laura is ideally suited to fill the challenging and high-profile role of content brand manager of one of Meister Media Worldwide’s largest and most platform-diverse titles. Having grown up in a farming family in Michigan, Laura joined Meister Media in 1999 shortly after earning a B.S. in Agriculture and Natural Resources Communications from Michigan State University. She served as Field Editor and then Managing Editor of Greenhouse Grower, and was a contributing writer for Meister Media’s Horticulture Group. After taking some time off to start a family, Laura returned to the staff this year as Managing Editor of both Greenhouse Grower and Today’s Garden Center.

Laura takes the reins of Greenhouse Grower as the ornamental market continues to rebound from the recession and as Greenhouse Grower further extends its long-standing leadership in a crowded, competitive media field. In nearly a decade covering the market, she has traveled the country and the world visiting greenhouse operations and breeders, learning about what’s most important to growers and to the industry. She’ll put that knowledge and perspective to work as the content lead on the print magazine, while also working side-by-side with Senior Editor | Online Sara Tambascio on Greenhouse Grower’s cutting-edge digital media and with Group Editor Richard Jones on the title’s events and on GROW – a cross-sector, industry-leadership program formed to build floriculture’s future.

Laura succeeds Robin Siktberg who has resigned to spend more time with family. Robin will continue to be a regular presence in Greenhouse Grower as a contributing writer, lending her market knowledge and horticultural expertise to the brand’s industry-leading varieties coverage.
