Roseville Farms Likes Pre-Filled Trays

Roseville Farms, a Florida greenhouse operation that produces more than 100 clematis varieties, looks for cost savings and ways to improved efficiencies like all growers. Since Roseville incorporated pre-filled, ready-to-use nursery trays into production, Head Grower Lee Hicks says the operation has saved on the bottom line and improved efficiencies.

Roseville converted more than 1 million clematis plugs from an on-site process of filling nursery trays to Grow-Tech’s FlexiTray line of pre-filled nursery trays. The FlexiTray blends peat and bark.

“The trays have been very easy to use and we are finding larger roots in the Grow-Tech sponge plugs since the switch,” Hicks says.
