Adapted from in-person workshops held in 2024, the Vineland Research and Innovation Centre and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Agri-business (OMAFA) have released the Thrips Identification Workshop video series in three parts. Part 1, “Introduction to Thrips Identification,” covers why and when to ID thrips found in crops. Part 2, “Thrips Life Cycle and Anatomy,” covers the life cycle, life stages, and anatomy of thrips. Part 3, “How to Use a Dichotomous Key to ID Thrips,” covers how dichotomous keys work to identify thrips and best IPM practices.
