Oasis Grower Solutions Announces New Sales Personnel and Positions

The Smithers-Oasis division of Oasis Grower Solutions has added a new member to its team of Territory Sales Managers, along with two newly created positions to support North American and global sales.

Smithers-Oasis Director of Global Grower Operations and Research, Vijay Rapaka, Ph.D., announced that horticulture-industry veteran Woody Lilly joined the Oasis Grower Solutions team as Midwest and Mountain States Territory Sales Manager. Lilly joins the team with more than 30 years of experience in horticulture-related sales, with the bulk of his career focused on growing media. Lilly’s territorial focus will be the U.S. Midwest and Mountain regions, along with Eastern Canada.

In a related move, Brenton Williams has transitioned into a newly created in-house position as Oasis Grower Solutions Technical Customer Service and Sales Specialist, designed to capitalize on his technical product knowledge and grower relationships. Williams joined Smithers-Oasis in 2014 as a Research Greenhouse Technician. His most recent role was Oasis Grower Solutions Midwest Territory Sales Manager. In his new position, Williams will primarily focus on providing technical customer service to Oasis Grower Solutions customers, along with inside sales support to West Coast and Western States, plus select countries outside the U.S.

OHP Expands Sales Team

AMGUARD™ Environmental Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Vanguard Corporation, has announced two key additions to its OHP sales organization: the hiring of Alfredo Lara as Technical Sales Manager and the promotion of Joe Grippi to Key Accounts Manager.

Alfredo Lara joins OHP as Technical Sales Manager, covering California, Nevada, and Arizona. Lara holds a B.S. in Plant Health from California State University, Fresno. He brings extensive experience in field research, account management, business development, and independent consulting, with a career focused on market development, product launches, and customer support. In his new role, Lara will be responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, driving demand with distribution and end-user accounts, and supporting OHP’s growth in the greenhouse and nursery segments across his territory.

“We are excited to welcome Alfredo to the OHP team,” says Frank, Director of Sales for OHP. “His deep roots in California agriculture and hands-on experience across multiple areas of the industry make him an ideal fit for this Western territory.“

Joe Grippi has been promoted to Key Accounts Manager, joining Duffey Clark in managing OHP’s national distributor relationships. Together, the two will divide responsibilities across key accounts, working to develop and execute strategic commercial plans that drive growth across OHP’s nursery, greenhouse, CEA, and cannabis markets. Grippi joined OHP as Southeast Technical Sales Manager. He brings a distinguished industry background, having previously served as Key Account Manager for Specialty Products at UPL Environmental Solutions and as a Business Development Key Account Manager at Envu (previously Bayer Environmental Science) where he spent 22 years.

Profile Products Names Michael Ranchino CEO

Profile® Products has announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Michael Ranchino as Chief Executive Officer and a member of Profile Products’ Board, following a comprehensive leadership search.

Throughout his tenure with Profile, Ranchino has proven to be a driving force behind the company’s continued growth. As CEO, he will focus on accelerating Profile’s growth strategy and expanding Profile’s leadership in specialty agriscience materials, while continuing its long-standing commitment to innovation, sustainability, and best-in-class customer outcomes.

Ranchino joined the company in 2021 as Chief Financial Officer, where he has played a key role in strengthening operational performance and advancing the company’s strategic priorities.

Ranchino brings more than two decades of leadership experience to the role. Prior to joining Profile, he held senior finance and operational leadership positions across several large organizations, including U.S. Foods, where he gained significant experience supporting complex business operations.
