2026 Greenhouse Training Online — “Climate Management”. | UF/IFAS

“Climate Management” starts on Monday, April 13, 2026, and is the next course in the 2026 Greenhouse Training Online series from the University of Florida IFAS Extension (UF/IFAS). This advanced-level course is designed for experienced commercial growers, horticulture science students, and those with previous training in intermediate-level courses.

“Climate Management” Course Topics

Course participants will learn about managing:

  • Environmental control systems
  • Photoperiod and supplemental lighting
  • Photosynthesis, growth, and flowering
  • Temperature, energy balance, and development rate
  • The use of sensors to monitor the environment
  • Vapor pressure deficit (VPR) and relative humidity

“Climate Management” Schedule and Registration

The “Climate Management” course runs April 13–May 8, 2026, and is part of the new Elite Grower program, a collaborative effort between the University of Florida (UF) and Michigan State University.
